Alex Ezrakhovich is a recognised expert in certification and quality systems. He is the managing director of his newly established consulting company AEConformity Pty Ltd. Until recently he was the General Manager of SAI Global Certification Services Pty Ltd and oversaw the management system, food safety and product certification activities of this multinational conformity assessment body.
\nOn behalf of Australia, Alex actively participates in the ISO Committee ISO\/TC 176, Quality Management and Quality Assurance (the committee which is responsible for development of ISO 9000 standards) as a member and leader of the Australian Delegation. He is member of ISO TC176 SC2 Strategic Planning and Operations Task Group (SPOTG) and the liaison of TC176 at ISO CASCO. Alex is a member of the ISO\/IEC CASCO Working Group 21 that has been responsible for the development of ISO\/IEC 17021, Conformity assessment – Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems. He is a member of Joint ISO TC207\/CASCO Working Group 34 \u2013 the group responsible for development of competency requirements for EMS auditors.
\nHe is co-convener of the Joint IAF-TC176 Task Group to develop the ISO 9001 Auditing Practices Papers (APG and AAPG). He represents Standards Australia at ISO\/CASCO. He represents SAI Global at the International Independent Organisation of Certification (IIOC), – (IIOC members include the world\u2019s leading multinational conformity assessment bodies such as BSI, Bureau Veritas, DNV, Lloyds Registrar, ABS, TuV SUD, SAI Global and SGS). He represents IIOC at Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC) and the International Accreditation Forum (IAF).
\nHe has undertaken advisory and training activities in many countries, including Portugal, Mexico, Columbia, Canada, USA, UK, Serbia, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Russia, United Arab Emirates, Philippines, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Ukraine on behalf of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and SAI Global.
\nAlex has extensive knowledge of contemporary management system and product certification practices and an understanding of how to successfully provide modern certification services. This knowledge includes experience of SAI Global\u2019s 5-tick conformity assessment mark that appears on many certified products in the market ranging from automotive products, telecommunications equipment through to consumer items.
\nAlex also brings technical knowledge of the accreditation requirements that certification bodies are currently required to meet. He has designed and implemented SAI Global\u2019s integrated system to obtain and maintain several accreditations around the world, include with ANAB (USA), JAS-ANZ (Australia and New Zealand), SCC (Canada), UKAS (United Kingdom), KAN (Indonesia), Ema (Mexico), NABCB(India) and KAB (Korea). SAI Global is also approved as an ISO\/TS 16949 certification body by IATF for the automotive industry. Alex is a member of JAS-ANZ\u2019s Technical Advisory Committee.
\nAlex Ezrakhovich holds a Master of Science Degree from St. Petersburg (Leningrad) Polytechnical University (Russia) and he is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers, Australia. He is also registered Senior Auditor.<\/p>\n
